Digitalization of RES
A product for RES digitalization - a software solution based on the in-house developed EMAS.FORECAST by JSC "NBI", designed for highly accurate forecasting of electricity generation by renewable energy facilities to improve performance in the wholesale electricity market.
Objectives
- Forecast generation for the day-ahead market (DAM) and balancing market (BM);
- Increase electricity sales revenue through more accurate forecasting;
- Forecast RES facility's own consumption volumes;
- Collect, process and accumulate actual and statistical generation data;
Functionality and Efficiency
Based on historical electricity generation data, weather archives and forecasts from various meteorological sources, a digital model is created to forecast electricity generation, taking into account all influencing factors. The model identifies the most relevant features and, using machine learning, produces results that enable the highest possible forecasting accuracy.
