Assessment of actual condition of turbine units #3,5,6, obtaining data for planning and standardization, and evaluation of major overhaul of turbine unit.
NBI Engineering LLC completed a project for thermal performance testing of turbines at West-Siberian CHPP, a branch of EVRAZ.
Project objectives:
assess actual condition of turbine units #3,5,6, obtain data for planning and standardization, and evaluate major overhaul of turbine unit.
Project tasks completed:
- - Conduct thermal performance tests of three turbine units;
- - Assess actual condition of turbine system and its components;
- - Compare with manufacturer's guaranteed parameters and obtain data for planning and performance standardization;
- - Develop energy performance characteristics used as basis for determining equipment normative indicators;
- - Optimize operating modes with recommendations for improving efficiency;
- - Determine current changes (after major overhaul) in turbine unit thermal efficiency;
- - Determine gross specific heat consumption for electricity generation.
Project duration: April-December 2022.
Upon project completion, the Client received technical reports containing data on actual equipment condition (turbine units #3,5,6), evaluation of #5 turbine unit overhaul quality, and actual thermal performance characteristics of turbine systems.
