Implementation of the Energy Market IAS for PJSC Quadra and LLC Quadra-Energosbyt

In August 2019, the implementation of the "Energy Market" Information and Analytical System (IAS) was completed to automate and support the energy sales activities of PJSC "Quadra" and its subsidiary energy sales company LLC "Quadra-Energosbyt" in the wholesale and retail markets of electricity and capacity, as well as in the markets of thermal energy and fuel supply.

The main purpose of the IAS is to improve the level of control and monitoring of key production and market performance indicators of energy facilities and optimize operations in the wholesale and retail markets of electricity (capacity) and thermal energy, as well as in the natural gas commodity markets.

The main objectives of the implemented information and analytical system to improve the efficiency of electricity production and sales are:

- Data collection from websites of infrastructure organizations and other sites containing information about planned and actual performance in energy and natural gas markets, including regulatory reference information;

- Data collection from the Customer's existing information systems used in business processes related to operations in energy markets, including corporate email and file storage;

- Collection of weather forecast data from specialized websites using multiple sources or the Customer's existing information systems;

- Collection of data, including those missing in the technological systems of thermal power plants/branches and/or entered manually, where "manual entry" may mean uploading data in a format agreed with the developer;

- Consolidation of collected data in a single repository;

- Data processing according to the Customer's accepted algorithms and/or rules and regulations of energy and gas markets, which are governed by relevant decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Agreement on Accession to the Wholesale Electricity (Capacity) Market Trading System and its annexes, the Operational Dispatch Control Agreement and its annexes, the Rules for Organized Trading of Natural Gas on the Gas Exchange Platform(s), and Gas Supply Contracts;

- Providing users with information stored in the System through automated workstations with the ability to export data in formats compatible with MS Excel spreadsheet editor;

- Timely provision of necessary information to managers at all levels to enable prompt decision-making;

- Enabling access to information stored in the System for related systems.

As part of the project implementation, the Customer gained the following capabilities:

1. Automatic information loading:
- Loading from various information sources;
- Loading of over 140 reports;
- Storage of all information in a single repository.

2. Automatic calculation execution:
- Performing main calculations for operations in the WECM;
- Performing calculations based on changes in source data for any time period.

3. Analytical reporting:
- Implementation of over 100 reports;
- Differentiated access to information.

4. Commercial dispatching:
- Monitoring of branch operations.

PJSC "Quadra" is one of the largest Russian regional generation companies (TGC) created during the reform of JSC RAO "UES of Russia". The company meets 25% of the Central Federal District's thermal energy needs.
