In August 2020, work was completed on the development of the CIS IRPK system regarding the creation of a decision support subsystem for operations in the wholesale electricity market (CIS IRPK "Energy Trading" module).
The main goal of the project is to increase the marginal profit of the LUKOIL Group from the production and sale of electric and thermal energy.
As part of the project, the following business processes were automated:
− − Generation of VSVGO and RCB bidsin standardized formats (xml) of the Wholesale Market Participant Workstation based on source files and data from the Optimization subsystem;
− − Submission of OCPZ based on source files and data from the Optimization subsystem with tracking of bid statuses;
− − Calculation of financial performance indicators in the wholesale electricity market;;
− − Performing calculations in accordance with the wholesale market regulations;;
− Building custom report forms using OLAP technology and analytical panels based on data from infrastructure organizations' websites, as well as source files loaded into the system.
During the project implementation, the team faced certain difficulties due to the large volume of manually entered data in non-standardized formats.
As a result of the project, the customer gained the following capabilities:
1. Automatic data loading:
- Loading data from various sources;
- Loading over 150 reports;
- Consolidation of data in a single repository.
2. Automatic calculations:
- Performing key calculations for operations in the wholesale electricity market;
- Performing calculations based on changes in source data for any time period;
- Automation of marginal profit calculations.
3. Analytical reporting:
- Implementation of over 20 static report forms;
- Quick generation of marginal profit reports;
- Ability to analyze data for any time period (if available);
- Tool for building custom reports.
4. Commercial dispatching:
- Automated generation of VSVGO and RCB bids in standardized xml format;
- Ability to simultaneously submit OCPZ for 9 wholesale market participants.
Customer: LUKOIL-TSUR LLC is one of the leading energy trading operators in the Russian wholesale electricity market. The company was established on March 11, 2009, and is a 100% subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL.
