On November 14, 2024, a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Energy of the Russian Federation, together with an expert session on import substitution and innovations in the fuel and energy sector, was held at the Zaton TPP, part of BGC LLC.
The event was attended by representatives of Russian companies engaged in manufacturing equipment and software for the energy industry, as well as specialists from generating and grid organizations. The discussion was led by Igor Ananskikh, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, who emphasized the importance of addressing the sector’s current challenges.
One of the speakers was Bogdan Shatunov, CEO of NBI JSC, who presented the EMAS platform — a digital tool for planning, monitoring, and optimizing the operations of energy enterprises — and shared his perspective on the current industry situation. In his presentation, he detailed the main challenges facing energy companies, such as the need for rapid import substitution, the adoption of innovative technologies, and overall efficiency improvements.
The EMAS platform has already proven to be a reliable solution, helping energy enterprises adapt to modern challenges, reduce costs, and optimize processes, which plays a key role in strengthening the sector’s technological independence. The presentation generated significant interest and served as a clear example of how modern technologies can support the strategic objectives of Russia’s energy sector.
