The main goal of this service was to assess the investment attractiveness of the facility and the data center (DC) placement project on the station's premises.
During the service provision, work was carried out in three parallel directions:
1. Technical analysis of the GT CHP to assess the current condition of the facility in terms of:
- • Composition of main and auxiliary equipment;
- • Algorithms used for calculating performance indicators at the station;
- • Structure of the automated process control system (APCS);
- • Scope and quality of equipment repairs performed;
- • Condition and operation of power and heat supply schemes;
- • Evaluation of options for repairing/replacing imported equipment;
- • Compliance with regulatory authorities' requirements.
2. Comprehensive analysis of the DC placement project (over 50 MW) on the station's premises, covering:
- • Selecting the optimal energy market operation scheme to reduce electricity and capacity purchase costs for the DC (the generating facility operates in the wholesale market);
- • Assessing the economic impact of each scenario;
- • Determining the need for additional financial investments for each scheme;
- • Technical solutions for equipment placement;
- • Beneficial utilization of waste heat from the DC.
3. Development of a flexible financial model for the project, enabling:
- • Selection of possible scenarios based on the Customer's preferences;
- • Automatic recalculation of the project's investment metrics;
- • Visualization of key financial flows.
- • A detailed report on the current condition of the facility;
- • Possible scenarios with an assessment of economic impact;
- • Recommendations on the investment attractiveness of the facility and the project as a whole.
