JSC "NBI" implemented a project to replicate the WECM optimization information system (WECM OS) at the Apatity CHP plant of TGC-1 PJSC's Kola branch
Project objectives:
Improve Apatity CHP plant's WECM performance by optimizing generating equipment composition and operation modes to maximize marginal income from electricity and heat production and sales
Project tasks completed:
- Developed technical specifications for WECM OS implementation and collected initial design data
- Developed and approved project documentation
- Configured and set up the software-information complex
- Developed a digital power plant model
- Performed optimization model calibration and adjustment
- Implemented WECM OS pilot operation
- Commissioned the system for industrial operation
The project delivered these capabilities:
- CHP equipment composition and operation mode planning based on DAM price forecasts and CHP heat load
- DAM bid price calculation and corresponding equipment performance indicators considering actual generating equipment status and antitrust compliance
- Optimized CHP plant equipment operation mode calculation for heat and power load distribution
- CHP production program planning for medium and long-term horizons
- Pmin optimization calculation for day D-2 considering planned heat supply and DAM prices
- Visual display of optimization results on CHP mimic diagrams
- Calculation and generation of CHP actual fuel component reports
