NBI successfully completed a project to develop an electronic-mathematical model for electricity consumption planning and control, peak hours and demand management at Solikamsk Mining Administration (SKRU-1) of Uralkali PJSC (part of Uralchem Group).
Project objectives:
Develop an electronic-mathematical model for electricity consumption planning/control, peak hours and demand management at SKRU-1 to comprehensively improve energy efficiency.
Project tasks:
- Establish electricity consumption standards per product unit for all production types to ensure reliable annual cost planning;
- Improve electricity consumption forecast accuracy according to production schedules;
- Develop tools for peak load minimization analysis/forecasting, synchronized with predicted consumption peaks;
- Develop strategies for operating under electricity consumption constraints, including demand management and production regulations;
- Monitor actual electricity consumption with subsequent analysis.
The project delivered these capabilities:
- Automated and synchronized data integration from multiple sources;
- Improved analysis of additional data requirements;
- Established regular automatic execution of required calculations for production and trading units;
- Enhanced electricity consumption control/optimization supported by analytical reports and configured commercial dispatching.
Notably, this project enabled NBI to synchronize best product practices, creating successful synergy between company products for a single client while leveraging domain analytics from NBI-Engineering LLC. We confidently conclude that NBI products can be implemented at any industrial enterprise, with business analysts capable of flexibly adapting to analyze any client business process.
We thank Uralkali PJSC for their trust and cooperation!
